Why good leaders make you feel safe

This video by one of my favorite authors (Start with Why and Leaders Eat Last), Simon Sinek focuses on the power of reducing fear and building trust and cooperation is the key to getting an organizational culture to unite on common goals and become very effective. Putting our own needs and wants ahead of the whole is not what drives an organizational culture to be successful, NO! Instead its selfless service and putting the needs of others at the forefront that stimulates mutual trust, trust that goes up, down and all around an organization is the catalyst to getting things done effectively. This also helps create and nurture an atmosphere of continued lifelong learning which leads to adaptability in individuals and organizations.

Good leaders make you feel safe and protected and then the leader’s vision for the organization will come to life.
